Rocko was trained as a patrol canine and article detection specialist. He retired in 2023 after several loyal years of service and now enjoys retirement with his handler.

K‑9 Cooper was a narcotics detection K‑9 with a South County narcotics unit. Cooper played a valuable role in finding and removing hundreds of pounds of narcotics off the streets as well as intercepting shipments through the mail. Cooper is fun‑loving and looking forward to many years of snuggles with his handler.

K‑9 Chon is an 8‑year‑old Belgian Malinois who served nearly four years in patrol as an apprehension K‑9. Throughout his career, Chon demonstrated unwavering loyalty, bravery, and determination. In 2021, he was retired early after sustaining a heat stroke. Since retirement, Chon has transitioned from the kennel to a house dog and quickly adapted to the comforts of being a family companion.

K‑9 Turbo is 13 years old and was in service for 7 years. In retirement, Turbo enjoys hiking in the mountains and has a talent for finding shed deer antlers along the trail.

K‑9 Jax is a 9‑year‑old Belgian Malinois who served four years in patrol as an apprehension K‑9. Jax demonstrated great bravery during his service, apprehending very dangerous criminals in the South County community. He played an intricate part in keeping his handler, fellow officers, and the community safe. In retirement, Jax loves chewing on his Kong toys, enjoys belly rubs from his family, and chasing lizards in the backyard.

Retired apprehension and detection K‑9 Mattis is a 7.5‑year‑old Mexi‑malinois with an impressive record: 30 criminal apprehensions, hundreds of surrenders, and multiple firearms, ammunition, and cash seizures. In retirement, Mattis enjoys floating in the pool, driving down the coast with the windows down, and munching on carne asada tacos.
