Community Supporters

Community Supporters

Community supporters play a vital role in helping SCCA protect retired police K‑9s after their years of service are complete. These dogs spent their working lives protecting communities, assisting officers, and serving alongside handlers who remain committed to caring for them long after retirement.

Once a K‑9 retires, the cost of emergency care, routine treatment, surgeries, medications, dental work, and ongoing medical needs often falls entirely on the handler. Through community support, businesses help lift that burden by funding critical veterinary care for retired K‑9s facing both expected and unexpected medical challenges. Sponsorship dollars directly support the dogs who served, the handlers who continue to care for them, and the communities that benefit from honoring that lifelong bond.
